When reading the above, I found that the name of the the abrahamic God (tetragramaton) is nearly identical to Brahman, meaning "breath of life" or "sustainer of being" or "thusness". Quite fascinating to ecumenical etymologists like myself.

It's important to remember that the yud-hey-vav-hey (tetragrammaton) is a device used to thoroughly confuse and mislead people who wanted to know the Name. "Jehovah", for instance, is a fine word, but has nothing to do with the name of God. Translated from the Hebrew, God says to Moses "[I] exist [so] that I exist." In other words, perhaps, God is everywhere, encompasses everything that exists, in this universe and anywhere there is matter. For us earthlings, we are made from God. Hard to get. A friend of mine, a gifted healer, says "I am 100% God--God just isn't 100% me." God is in everything, the totality of all life and existence is as much as we can see or imagine, and God is bigger that our limited abilities of perception are able to conceive of. That's morwe or less what "God is one", or and especially, "all is one."

agreed. What do you think about the word "Brahman" in comparison?
